Eadlyn still isn’t sure she’ll find the fairytale ending her parents did twenty years ago. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you…and soon Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more impossible—and more important—than she ever imagined.
“This is a dandelion, " I told him. He shrugged. "I know. Some see a weed; some see a flower. Perspective.”
Review
Directly following America's heart attack Maxon is distraught and not in the right place to run a country so Eadlyn acts as regent through most of the novel and does a kick ass job! Juggling her selection and trying to run the country could have easily been too much for one person to handle but Eadlyn really comes into her own, being a woman there were men who tried to take advantage of her sex and lack of experience to achieve their own means but Eadyln deals with the hater by promptly firing him!! Eadyln was so totally awesome dealing with the stress of her mom's illness and everything else happening in her life. Somewhere in the middle of all this Eadlyn finds true love and he is so perfect for her! Since reading the first book she really seems like a lost cause, she protects her heart so much and is convinced she cannot love and be a successful queen at the same time but one of the boys tears down her walls and it is not who you expect at all but I loved it!! Kiera Cass has the most amazing talent when it comes to bringing two characters together and this couple was no exception.
I am sad that this series is over but the series is written so well I am highly satisfied I did not feel like there were plot points unresolved. As you can tell I could talk about this series for forever! If you have not read this you need to right now!! A lot of people do not know this story is dystopian so if you are a fan of dystopians you will absolutely love this!
