For as long as she can remember, Rio has dreamed of the sand and sky Above—of life beyond her underwater city of Atlantia. But in a single moment, all her plans for the future are thwarted when her twin sister, Bay, makes an unexpected decision, stranding Rio Below. Alone, ripped away from the last person who knew Rio's true self—and the powerful siren voice she has long hidden—she has nothing left to lose.

I will admit Ally Condie's writing style can be lacking with lots of short sentences that are supposed to build up but don't. (Example above) Some of the actions Rio commits do not seem true to her spirited and dedicated attitude and that takes away a lot from the plot.
A lot of people are saying that this is just another dystopian in a sea of dystopians and I can absolutly see that! I ave not read very many dystopians so I have been drwoned in them yet but I get that view point! Maybe if you have already read 100 dystopisna this might not be for you!
