Review
Stray Magic by Diana Peterfruend
This was super cute story about a girl who works at a animal pound and discovers one of the dogs can talk to her and that dog has "lost" its owner who happens to be a magician! I loved this story so much! The fact that it is set in a pound just pulls at your heart strings! It ended perfectly and I was left satisfied!
Payment Due by Frances Hardinge
This follows a teenage girl whose grandmother gets swindled by a debt collector and she gets payback! Again a great story that had a satisfying ending! The main character at one point switched bodies with a house cat and I thought it was really cool how that magic worked!
Little Gods by Holly Black
Little Gods follows our main character as she set out to attend her first Wiccan festival! I really enjoyed that this included modern religion and shows how real Wiccans worship! I would have like the ended to be wrapped up better but still one of my favorite stories
Education of A Witch by Ellen Klages
I LOVED this story!! This one has to be my favorite it follows a little girl named Lizzy who sees Sleeping Beauty for the first time and falls in love with Maleficent! Lizzy definetly goes against the grain and is just adorable! The ending was amazing it left on a ciff hanger but was nothing but satisfying!
I also enjoyed Neil Gaiman's poem and Jim Butchers about an adult sorcerer and Bigfoot!! The rest of the stories were either boring or were not written for a young adult audience which made them seem shallow and hard to follow.
