YA/MG Fantasy 101
This was one of the very first and arguably one of the best YA fantasy books out there! The amount of symbolism in this book put in on par with any other classic! The story telling is beautiful and the world that C.S. Lewis imagined is one of the most detailed and magical!! |
4. Harry Potter by JK Rowling It would be an injustice to not include the worlds best selling series in this list! While this series is extremely enjoyable to read J.K. Rowling puts in an abundance of overall themes in this series including loss of childhood and discrimination which makes Harry Potter a great roll model for authors! |
Twilight by Marissa Meyer Ok. . . I know what you must be thinking BUT Twilight did become of of the most popular books of the early 21st century and introduced everyone to a then small part of the YA Fantasy family, paranormal!! This book has a lot to teach on what to do and what not to do with YA Fantasy! |
