Bear shifter Powell sensed the instant he held her that Olivia was his mate. He also knew she had the untapped powers to discover her true shifting nature--if only he could convince her to trust in him, and to believe in herself. Now the one thing that stands to threaten their healing mating hunger is Olivia's distrusting and vigilant pack. A pack prepared to do anything to get her back.
But there is no danger as strong, no desire so liberating as what Powell is bringing out in her--because Olivia can finally see where her destiny lies.
Adrienne created this amazing "religious system" that explains shifters in this world and it is just beautiful!! Their guardian or god of sorts is a majestic being and I loved her part in the story not to mention that she is a girl. . . something else I really enjoyed!
We get to see small glimpses of characters from both of the previous books in the shifter war series and that was really cool to see a small glimpse of what happened to Amy and Griff, and Bria and Derek since their books. It is worth noting that this novella can absolutely be read as a standalone but of course, is so much more enjoyable when you understand everything else about the setting of Deep Creek!
Olivia's blindness adds a unique touch to this story in the series. It gives Adrienne's characters something relatable to overcome which is something that we really didn't get to see in the previous two novels.
In short, I LOVE this entire series but I think i have found one of my favorite relationships of all time in Olivia and Powell!!
