" And holy God, when she looked at him the way she did now . . . he felt like he'd stepped into the blue-white heart of a flame. The dark centers of her bright eyes expanded as he teeth caught the corner of her lip, and he had the extraordinary unhelpful thought that if anyone should be biting those lips, it should be him."
Review
I LOVE History!!! I majored in it in College and I could go on and on but I won't. . . right now. Bracken portrayed different time periods with so much accuracy it was scary!! The people, the religions, the food, the clothing. . . the research must have taken forever and she portrayed all these different historical events flawlessly!! *standing ovation for Alexandra Bracken*
Etta and Nicholas. . . SWOON!! Nick was so true to his time period he is gentlemanly, brave, and smart!! The love story happened slowly and then out of no where . . . SEX SCENE. I mean it was a YA version of the events but they still did it and I think that was just too quick! Which is the reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. Etta is such a great character (minus the ill die for you after just 2 days BS) she is talented and really knows how to hold her own in a new century even when she didn't even know time traveling was a thing!
The Feuding and dysfunctional families. . . another soft spot of mine in fiction and Passenger did not disappoint! Especially when going back in time and seeing. . . well I won't spoil it for you but I promise its great!!!
I don't know how Alexandra Bracken managed to interweave the beauty of music into time travel but she did and it was freaking cool. . .
