1. What is the name you prefer to use?
Gabrielle
2. How long have you been a book blogger?
I have been a book blogger for about five months now.
3. Have you participated in ABEA before?
Nope, this is my first time participating.
4. Do you have a favorite book? My favorite book of all time is The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman.
5. What is your favorite genre and why?
That would have to be the contemporary fiction. I generally like it because there are so many options and differences that can happen in a novel. I feel like there are certain genres who's plot lines can be easily merged with each other, but contemporary fiction still allows for such a huge amount of variety.
6. If you could recommend one other book blogger, who would it be and why?
I would recommend Marieke Mills, she talks about everything from books to genre discussions and she writes it all in such a fun way!
7. Which day of ABEA are you looking forward to the most?
I can't wait for Saturday, May 14th: Surviving Fictional Worlds. I can't wait to see what fictional worlds would be the best/worst to live in, and the topic discussion also seems really interesting!
8. If you could create a playlist that reflects your bookshelf, what would be the first song you choose?
Oh gosh. Okay, I'm a huge music fiend, so I'm going to limit myself here. I'll choose my top three, which are:
From Finner-Of Monsters and Men
The Draw-Bastille
Everywhere I Go-New Politics
9. How do you arrange your bookshelves? Is there a rhyme or reason? Or not at all?
Generally I try and include all hardbacks on one shelf, and then also I organize by height and by series. I keep all the books I like towards the top, and books I'm only okay with at the bottom.
10. What book are you most excited for on your TBR? What are you most intimidated by?
I'm most excited for Six of Crows!! I cannot wait for this book, from how beautiful the cover is to the fact that it's gotten stellar reviews, I am really looking forward to reading it.
I am most intimidated by Outlander, mainly because of its length. I know I would really enjoy the book itself, but it's the getting through it part that may take me a while to start it.
